The ECGA Grocery Store Plan

  1. Aquire an existing abandoned grocery store building
    • Why? Because it's most likely already zoned to be a grocery store
  2. Secure funding to renovate the existing structure or build a new structure
    • Seek funding through grants, loans, and donations
  3. Find an existing business or develop a new business to operate the grocery store
    • ​​​​​​​Once funding is secured, contracts will be signed
  4. Renovate the existing structure or Build a new one
    • ​​​​​​​ECGA will pay for the construction and renovations
    • The operating group will pay for branding and inventory
  5. The Groccery Store is OPEN FOR BUSINESS
This is a repeatable model. The East Cleveland Growth Association plans to open 3 grocery stores within East Cleveland City Limits using this model
